FEST 2026
Cinematic celebration at Kaunas International Gymnasium: four continents on one screen!
Youth Cinema Center Across Four Continents
For the sixth consecutive year, our gymnasium has become a vibrant hub of youth cinematic art. The school proudly hosted the traditional international students film festival "Ąžuolynas". The scale of this year's festival is truly remarkable: as noted by Marija Daunorienė, Deputy Director for Education acting as Director, the geography of participants expanded to four continents. Young talents from Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa competed in the festival! Mastery and storytelling were evaluated by an esteemed international jury consisting of television and international relations experts from Italy, Republika Srpska, and Lithuania.

Creative Collaboration: Students & Teachers on Stage
One of the festival's most memorable highlights was a theatrical performance by 11th-grade drama students. Festival director Karina Brdar joined the students on stage for a special performance act. Teachers are warmly encouraged to boldly champion youth creative initiatives and perform alongside their students.
