Theme: “My Purpose” • Youth Voices to the World
Get ready for the 7th International Youth Short Film Festival "AISFF 2027"! For seven consecutive years, Kaunas International Gymnasium has stood at the crossroads of international student cinematic art.
We invite students aged 10 to 18 to create short films up to 3 minutes using smartphone cameras only. The official 2027 theme is "My Purpose".
What do you want to do with your life, and how do you find your true calling? We are looking for stories about discovering your path, making career choices, and overcoming self-doubt. Tell us what it takes to follow your passion when the people around you expect something different—whether it is family pressure to pursue a "serious" career like medicine or law, or your own fear of stepping into the arts, music, or creative fields. Show the reality of this journey, the obstacles along the way, and the exact moment you or your characters realized what you were meant to do.
Submissions are accepted from November 1, 2026 until April 5, 2027. The gala festival ceremony takes place on April 27, 2027 at Kaunas International Gymnasium. Experience an international jury evaluation, handmade oak trophies, gala screening, and worldwide live broadcast!
Simple, transparent, and fair rules for all young creators worldwide.
All entries must be captured on a smartphone or tablet camera. Professional cinema equipment is strictly forbidden.
Strict runtime limit – up to 3 minutes including credits. Concise storytelling and creative framing are prized.
Category I: Students aged 10–13.
Category II: Students aged 14–18 from all countries.
Grand Prix, 1st place prizes, Audience Favorite diplomas, and custom artisan oak statuettes for laureates.
